Written by Brendan Meyer, How We Live
...third annual Dallas Festival of Ideas ... free, day-long festival on Saturday, April 29, will feature speakers, performers and interactive sessions focused on how to make Dallas a more equitable city for all its citizens.
For the first time, the festival will join forces with the Dallas Book Festival, holding events at City Hall Plaza, the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library and on Young Street ... The two festivals will co-host opening and closing plenaries. Each festival will have its own programming running in parallel across the day.
Join us at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library Saturday, April 29th, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the 4th Annual Dallas Book Festival (formerly the International Book Fair).
Founded in 2006 the Dallas International Book Fair presented annual literary events showcasing works by internationally acclaimed authors as well as national, regional and local authors representing diverse regions of the world. This family event included artistic and cultural performances, film and book presentations, educational workshops and children's activities.
I'm glad these two are lining up together, synchronicity and all. This is the sort of deal I want to grow and become a staple event attracting all sorts of good attention, but wouldn't want it to become so big the honesty of intention is lost.
