A little off topic, but it's funny that a year or two ago, we were all talking about an economic slowdown. I suppose a slowdown is inevitable and anything can happen, but I'm honestly (pleasantly) surprised at how much construction we are still seeing to this day.

Agreed, and it'll be great after phase 2 connects it all the way up to Klyde Warren Park. It's really a shame we couldn't get those bike lanes along McKinney Ave, because we could have eventually worked to get these two sets of bike lanes connected.

Regardless of what you think of the current Deep Ellum, I think it's safe to say that it may have finally broken the boom/bust cycle it seemed to go through time and time again, which is a great thing.
