These apartments and the property is being very well maintained. Probably won't see this change until the next big development cycle after it is surrounded by high rises.

Re: Arts District: The Spire Mixed Use Project

Office and retail are shrinking due to technology living space is not. More people are flex working from inside their living space and using the new communal flex office spaces. This area could be a great place to live and work all while being near access to DART rail.

With this and also the other nearby Apartment towers kicking off Ross and the Arts Distric will seem much more alive with people. I never thought this one would finally go up but so glad to see it.

My best guess is that it was built for a small office / residence originally and has limited parking otherwise it would make for a great co working space.

To a place in the metro with zero mass transit options and car clogged roads. Sigh. I'm glad I don't live or work up there. That traffic even on backstreets is going to be a real long term headache.

Why would it be bad for an RH Mansion store to be built there. I was recently at the new one at the Domain in Austin and it was fantastic. It would solidify this entire area as a destination for home furnishing shopping for the long term. I would welcome this development.

I don't think in this case it so much a fixation but the only plausible way to cobble together the need for a super tall in downtown Dallas. The only other longshot is a MAJOR corporate move from another state.

I would love for them to pursue mixed use in this building with condos on top maybe a hotel in the middle and office below with a retail base. However I wish we were talking 80 to 90 floors not 70. I know it is hard to put all that together but it can happen and has happened in other cities.

I think this station will be safe for at least 15 years if they are successfull at removing TIGER grants and other matching transit funds from the federal budget. We can't even begin to move forward on our own with D2 without federal money.

I wish we could get a much higher turnout of metropolitan voters in Texas at the polls for all elections. The way it is right now the rural voters determine policy that rules the large cities. City people don't vote in enough numbers and Texas has 3 of the largest metro areas on the country.

I was over in Bishop Arts this last Sunday and It was nice to see how many people were waiting at stations and riding the streetcar from downtown to Bishop Arts. With all of those new dense developments underway it will only get better once that all gets occupied.

If we didn't want high rise development in Oak Cliff we should have taken the money to do the new streetcar and instead have built it all the way up to Knox. Streetcar service directly out of an urban downtown makes dense development happen. Get ready for a whole lot more high rises over there from ...

I worked in this building on the 40th floor back in early 2000's at TXU before they all fell apart. The building was really a cool place to work very big money 1980's monolithic finish out. It could probably be reworked into a really nice mixed use project.
