Re: Uptown Dallas: Business Openings and Closings

TABC application sign is up for the open space next to Pok and across the Magnolia Theater in West Village. The restaurant will be called NAMO. Google search found a Craiglist job posting that says: NAMO is founded on the four pillars of food, music, design and togetherness. Fresh fish and local ing...

Re: Uptown Dallas: McKinney/Boll Tower - 2614 McKinney Ave - (18 ST)

Has anyone else noticed the huge drop in pedestrian activity on McKinney Avenue? Yes, I’ve noticed it too. I guess I wasn’t the only one... I have noticed that since So&So's became Parlay, it has been the most dead bar on that strip. I think the area is really shifting away from the party atmos...

I hope Drafthouse can come up with a deal with the parking company to get longer validation. I can't remember the last time I was in and out of a theater in two hours. Why go there when you can go down the street to NW Highway/35 and park for free at Studio Movie Grill?

Has anyone heard how well the recently opened residential buildings are leasing? Quick glance at Ascent Victory Park's site yields 153 units currently available out of 302...so just under 50% leased. A June 2017 article said it was going to be fully completed in August 2017, so about 8 months in of...

I went to the soft opening for the Alamo on Monday and it was, well, a soft opening. Monday was the absolute first day of operation for them, so I bet they were a bit frazzled. I've been to multiple Drafthouse locations and they are pretty consistent, so I feel pretty good that they will be fully r...

Man, between M Line Tower, Ascent, Victory Place, 23, The Katy, and Ardan all finishing up and having rents in excess of 2000/month, you have to wonder how much these will all fill during summer leasing.

Considering how far out and inconvenient it can be to park at The Parking Spot locations or Park n Fly, I would be willing to park at the terminal for a couple bucks more. I'm tipping the drivers a couple bucks each way, so it's not like I'll be paying more to begin with. Love Field has terminal par...

Likely a new bar or restaurant will open there, although I would love to see them squeeze a residential building on that lot! Really surprised that they put the pool on the ground level. For a high rise with a view like that, I would have figured it would have a swanky deck pool like the other buildings in VP.
