What is also great about that is you can see how much more open the building looked from the pedestrian level when it was a department store with the glass storefronts wrapped around the ground level with the beautiful mural above. The key is talking to the guy who was hired years ago to run the hotels. He is still employed and being paid to manage things when the doors finally open. Last I heard the city didn't like some design features that conflicted with city code work so they had to make some changes.

What is unfortunate is the smaller building at the corner there labeled 2200 Main in this screenshot will be torn down for parking. I am not sad for the historical quality of the building but because the corner will become another lot.
