Re: West End 1.0

Those archways were lit up before. I am not hearing anything that's wasn't done already before unless there will be an active art piece that attracts tourists by its sheer uniqueness and good maintenance by the city. Not to mention whats in the West End is kinda subtle now. There used to be the exci...

The building shows its age inside though. It's maintained but its lobby is pink granite and every building owner in Downtown has been paying the price to remove that stuff to appear more up-to-date, the food court is just blah but its more than some buildings have to offer. The bus stop/plaza that s...

Re: Could Dallas land Amazon HQ '2'?

Yes but the idea in some minds is that the economic benefit is worth it. Same goes for most city projects, like Fair Park and mass transit which is a multi-city deal. The city dumped the Farmers Market accepting that they shouldn't be running that one. Fair Park is on the way out the door as well. T...

I am also sure the stores will push more heavily into the store bought reusable bags as well. The first step was offering a discount for using a reusable bag next up who knows what incentives they might try for promoting customers to buy their reusable bags and give an incentive for using them.

Fire and a fight over the insurance was probably the culprit for the wait time. Sometimes it depends on who is to blame for the fire whose insurance pays out and here there was probably a fight between insurance companies.

Part of it is that Spire just hasn't been able to achieve some legitimacy in the developer community. They want to be Trammel Crow but have mostly just owned and remodeled existing office spaces. They can not seem to convince anyone to let them develop space from the ground up.
