Re: Victory Park: The Victor (~453FT / 39ST)

This road will end up with an impressive urban canyon upon completion of Victory Commons.

Re: Downtown Dallas: Hillwood Urban's ~50 storey tower on former BoA motorcourt

There's gotta be a way to submerge/conceal more of Woodall Rogers which any construction on this site could help address. The old BoA motorcourt lot and the El Fenix lot could easily have a seamless connection if developed properly

Re: Downtown Dallas: 2200 Pacific

Is it just me or does it feel like a lot of these developments are just trying to get construction started ASAFP while they still have financing?

Re: Downtown Dallas: Sheraton Hotel

Not much to like or admire with the Sheraton's recent renovations. In many ways, I prefer how it looked before, although that wasn't exactly memorable either. The older photos cre8tive shared are just stunning and markedly above anything adopted by the hotel in the past several decades. It really wo...

Re: 2401 McKinney tower

This is the best news i've heard on here since SHTF. Was getting a little disenchanted with all the prospects in Uptown... as far as i'm concerned, this project is a godsend. Anything beats an empty Gold's gym and a Truluck's parking lot

Yes, the banner on the fence said 62 luxury condos. I don’t think any entry level units though

They're gonna show quality art/clips on that LED screen when it's officially open, right? I'd rather have ads than a power point slideshow of average wallpaper stock photos More Ads?... So the towers directly along Central are probably 10 yrs away, if ever, right? Hopefully Phase 1 does well so they don't just decide to fill the remaining land with suburban style retail

Re: Cityplace East: ACS/Xerox redevelopment

I really hope one of the buildings in this development is as tall, or taller than Cityplace Tower. It'd be nice to get some tall buildings outside of the CBD. Yeah like in Houston It's funny cause Houston's skyline was the first thing I thought of after seeing this. We have conglomerates of towers ...

Re: Deep Ellum: The Stack - 2700 Commerce

I'll never forget the first time I saw the Epic while driving down Elm into downtown. For the first time, it looked like downtown was "connected" to Deep Ellum. All the residential coming to DE is exciting, but i'm looking forward to The Stack the most. It'll make that immediate split betw...

It'd be so cool if they dedicated a small sliver of that screen for a stock ticker like in times square. Shawn Todd proposed something similar for the Pacific Plaza project if I remember correctly.

Re: KDC & Miyama Project - 30 ST

I agree the amount of ultra modern as of late has become a bit exhausting. With advanced CAD nowadays, I think it's easier for planners/architects to lose themselves in their own creative ambition. I think these renderings look fine, but unnecessarily complex and costly. The AMLI tower doesn't try t...

Re: KDC & Miyama Project - 30 ST

Yeah all that green indicates we'll see revised renderings. However, I have no doubts that KDC will deliver solid work.

All these new developments flanking the KWP corridor are forming an impressive canyon.

Re: Downtown Dallas - Fountain Place

The Fairmount has got to do away with those bare, ugly, pink, windowless strips of nothingness on both of its towers. Those strips could use a new paint job or stone cladding, perhaps LED light strips/video boards, even aesthetically pleasing ad banners..... Anything. Right now they look like cheap,...

Re: The Cedars Developments

Riverfront Blvd is one shitty stretch of road, that's for sure. I hope for some serious effort on the city's end to make that mess of an area more appealing. The Tarrant County jail is an eyesore in an unfortunate location too, but they've done a respectable job mitigating the ugliness with the new ...

Re: Shraman South Asian Museum

Why such a modest height, for a project of this magnitude, at THIS location? How about a more imposing design? Or lights that rival the Omni/BOA Plaza? Something that elicits a little more pride... something a little more striking... It's not bad, but it doesn't really look like the project is seizi...

Re: Arts District: Hall Arts Hotel & Residences

That would be lovely^ The surface lots around the Dallas World Aquarium and those directly south of the Hall Arts Hotel are worthy of world class high rises. Just visualize how dramatically different the skyline would look with an 800ft+ skyscraper in either of those 2 locations. I really hope Hall ...
