I've noticed over here in in North Oak Cliff I hear cars doing doughnuts and racing since this pandemic started. Usually around 11pm it starts. It's super loud an annoying even from a distance. It's becoming a problem here in Dallas.

The 1050 is above sea level. The 1050 takes into account the location's height above sea level. Very very basic reason is airplanes use sea level as a fixed point for heights. My guess is this permit is speculative.

This old gas station and the lot behind it is owned by Mark Cuban. His real estate lawyer told me he bought it years ago when the Cowboys were looking at a new stadium downtown. Based on my conversations he is sitting on it till the parole office behind this station is moved.

Dallas City hall is ugly. I loathe any building build with concrete as an design feature. Burnett Tower in Ft. Worth is the same kind of ugly. They all look like Soviet buildings.

This whole are on the SW side of the CBD has the land and connections to really grow. If I were in sim city mode I'd make this area full of mid-rises with a tower or two. I'd love to see more retail around Union Station. Make Union a real hub. Something like St. Louis did. Make it DART, Greyhound, HSR, Streetcar all connected. Have more mid rises and maybe make it a nice little neighborhood. connect N. Oak Cliff to Cedars and downtown.

I wish SW downtown had more development with Hunt. I do feel like it's got great potential. However, With new towers instead of the current apartments I think we can really fill a big hole in the skyline. I hope we can get 500' plus in height at least. Still waiting on Hillwood....

I hate to say it but sonic ice is a thing. I only will have ice in my drink if it is "sonic/QT" style ice. It sounds dumb I realize, but I don't care for ice in my drink. However, this type of ice has somehow been ok with me. Just about everyone I know prefers this type of ice as well.

When people say just make it a blvd. all I can think of is drunk people being hit at night or cars flying 30 mph too fast down the road. Tunnel 345. Toll it even and give people the option to use city streets for free or toll highway tunnel, but just don't make a boulevard.
