The Victor's upper floors appear to be finishing out with pre-leasing about to begin. The building's facade is being painted a light tan. About half of it has been completed.

The latest views of Harwood's Swexan Hotel's construction progress. About 1/4 of the facade has been completed. You can see the opening on the top floor's roof.

A few top floors remain to be completed on the exterior as The Victor's progress continues. While the parking garage facade has been covered with a cream granite brickwork, there looks to be no change on the color of the concrete facade for the tower as of yet.

When I took those last photos, the sky was partially overcast, so that's why the white might appear somewhat muted. I'll take some photos this coming week and post them.

I think this entire project is a pipe dream. They may get one or two 10-story buildings, but that's about it. Eventually, I see mid-rise apartment buildings littering most of the site.

Indeed. I think the Hall Residence Tower may be slightly taller, if not, they are fairly the same height even though Flora & Olive Tower has nine stories more.

Ross Perot Jr.'s Hillwood Urban hasn't shown much expertise in developing a project of this size & magnitude. I would expect that eventually, he'll sell the land & move on. Frankly, he ought to approach BofA or Chase to reopen the drive-thru teller lanes.

There is a cornice projecting on the top of the tower on the Southern facing side of the building, but not on the Northern side. Very odd.

Hardly anyone is living in the immediate area right now, so they'll figure it out eventually. Give them some time. I grew up with that building lit up & the Republic Tower's rocket ship that was lit up too. Now that would be a mind blower if that was ever plugged in. 8-) 8-)

Hope Hall can eventually build that third phase of this development across Ross Avenue. He sold phase one at a profit, so he should have some funds for going forward at some point.

I've never seen any height projections for either tower. Just by looking at the renderings, I'm guessing that the towers are 40 to 45 stories tall each.

The Flora & Olive Tower's facade is moving up the building rather quickly. Remarkably, the 39-story tower is actually about the same height on the skyline as the Hall Arts Residences' Tower, which is 30 stories.

With the way the balconies jut out st that angle, it feels like the face of the tower facing Museum Tower curves a little. The curve is actually an angle & you are right. This enables the view from those apartments facing the Museum Tower to have a Western view of the city. I imagine the sunset...

Dallas City hall is ugly. I loathe any building build with concrete as an design feature. Burnett Tower in Ft. Worth is the same kind of ugly. They all look like Soviet buildings. It was designed by one of the greatest architects in the 20th century, I.M. Pei. What's not to like? :lol: :lol: :lol:
