Saw that Shivas Bar & Grill is opening at 1001 Ross, in the space that was Sushi World several years ago. It looked like the same typeface as the one on Greenville Ave, so I assume it's the same restaurant.

The whole thing is starting to look very squid-like, which I dig. Also noticed how the circular driveway at One Dallas blends in with the other circles in the design.

My office building is just one block away from the north corner of Pacific Plaza, so I'm really looking forward to this one.

I had to look this up because I'm genuinely curious, but East Dallas is about as massive as Oak Cliff with dozens of neighborhoods.

Haven't seen an update on this for a while. This week I noticed that they've built a pretty massive greenhouse-looking structure on the roof. It amazes me how Headington is able to get lightning-fast approvals to make these changes to historic structures.

Isn't the Meso Maya building landmarked? It looks quite old and I think was the Luna Tortilla factory if I'm not mistaken. Can we assume that the original plans for Midtown are scrapped and what we'll see is a collection of different apartment buildings with some retail mixed in? Even the Dallas Midtown Park Foundation seems to have lost its nonprofit status back in 2017, so that project's status may be in question.

DISD will be at City Plan Commission this week requesting a replat of the 2.493-acre tract of land, no doubt a condition for its sale. It's almost as if they're trying to convince you that the building won't be as imposing. Look at all the use of glass, how you can see through the building. Look at the scale compared to these trees that will actually never be this tall in real life.
