Re: Las Colinas/North Irving Development

Here's a story about the closing of Top Round... Apparently TMF was caught off-guard, although within 1 day they had already out leasing signs up in the window. http://dallas.culturemap.com/news/restaurants-bars/03-06-19-top-round-beef-toyota-music-factory-closed-california/ They're relocating to 4...

Re: Las Colinas/North Irving Development

Went to Green Gator last night in the Music Factory. Extremely busy. I assume because of Fat Tuesday. It was shoulder to shoulder people at the bar sometimes 2 to 3 deep and every table was taken. They had a live DJ and more people than they could serve. There was no show that night in the Pavilion...

Re: Las Colinas/North Irving Development

Went to see a movie at Alamo last night... Green Gator was open when we left at 9, had about 4 people inside. Julio Iglesius was in concert from roughly 8 to 10:30PM at the Music Factory on Saturday February 23rd. During the time of a show most of the tenants at the music factory are dead. That nig...

Re: Las Colinas/North Irving Development

So is there any cure for the "bad location" restaurant spots? Or is any restaurant that locates in one of them certain to end up like Top Round? I'm guessing the problem is that those spots are on another side or not very visible compared to the others? At least the whole place isn't a bu...

Not surprising... it's not the first and won't be the last. With so many open spaces, it won't be long before there is more vacant than occupied.

Went to see the early showing of Lego movie 2 on Saturday. Work was being done at both the Green Gator and the other restaurant pad in the plaza. Things were more busy than normal when the movie got out, I supposed because of the Toni Braxton concert. Alamo, was as always, great.

We're there again tonight to see Aquaman. Like last night valet has given up business and the whole area is basically deserted, again. I will say there are 8 people in the Alamo bar which is a record for what we've seen.

Theater is about 20% full.

Went to Shake Shack on Monday... Place is nice! Actually not too much seating on the inside which sort of surprised me. Las Colinas needs a good museum. I would argue it needs a better public school district first, instead of CFB.
