Re: Las Colinas/North Irving Development

Do you guys think Las Colinas large South Asian population hurts its opportunities for high end retail development. I know for the most part their incomes are high but South Asians aren’t known to be as material driven as other groups. They’re actually smart with their money. Precisely. The diversi...

Re: Las Colinas/North Irving Development

The city would be smart to keep the zoning as retail... It's basically the last available parcel for a significant retail development in Las Colinas. I think we need new updated inventory as the area continues to grow. Before the project was cancelled you already had restaurants like Chuy's, Lazy D...

Re: Las Colinas/North Irving Development

Anybody have news on the recent passage of liquor sales in Irving? Is Total Wine still planning to move into the old Toys R Us? The "rumor" is Market Street was the one with cold feet, and did not believe the residential market would support one of their stores in close proximity to Kroger and Whole Foods.

Was it a way for them to get the residential part of the development approved and started? Went to see the early showing of Lego movie 2 on Saturday. Work was being done at both the Green Gator and the other restaurant pad in the plaza. Things were more busy than normal when the movie got out, I supposed because of the Toni Braxton concert. Alamo, was as always, great.
