^ I just heard back from Sam Wynne. (For those who don't know him, he owns Brain Dead Brewery and Bowls and Tacos). He said he hasn't heard anything from the city, and he thought the road was dead for another decade.

Maybe Baylor is planning on the road being built as far as Elm?

Don't worry, this is just a formality. The decision is already made to screw up the street. They'll take out two lanes and replace them with bike lanes. The 99% will once again get hosed to placate the 1%.

(I say this as someone who uses these streets to bike to White Rock Lake).

Second crane, not second building. There was another crane on the other side of the office building, removed in August. Was mainly used for the parking garage.

This is Texas Brand Bank. Not the same.

Ironically, one block away the NE corner of Hall and Elm was a drive-thru for many years for one of the big downtown banks.

Stretching out a development over years increases the risks by an order of magnitude.

Just ask the original developers behind One Main Place, One Dallas Centre, BOA Tower, Fountain Place and (ironically) Cityplace how well their second towers worked out.

While there homeless people I've Never seen them camp out on sidewalks or go in public. The downtown patrol is good about policing that.
