Its because people from out of town are coming and building cheap apartments. Once they get their money(apartments are more profitable than townhouses or condos)..they'll bail. Were stuck with apartments that will look outdated in 20-30 years. The apartments we build now...will be gone in 30 years....

Downtown is finally hitting its stride, so I have no doubt that space will be filled up within a year or so. It's not too far from the upcoming Discovery District, which should add a ton of activity to the area.

That sounds more realistic. My first thought when I read 600K was that maybe this was a typo and they meant 60K, but now that I see it's 300K of office space, this sounds a lot more believable. 300K is still a great size of office space, so good news either way!
