Re: Downtown Dallas: Hillwood Urban's ~50 storey tower on former BoA motorcourt

Well, the loopnet listing was updated just 4 days ago. However, it's not the cylindrical design that was once kicked around. It's the other design which I think has been the preferred design by Hillwood for awhile now. Maybe something is moving forward?? Listing and marketing brochure links below. ...

Good lord I wish them luck but that space is such a total destination with no access other than walk ups from the Katy Trail. I hope they got an incredible lease based only on sales. I remember those mall proposals. One was adjacent to the Crescent, one was across the street from BOA Center, and the other, my favorite because of all the towers it brought, was between Akard and St. Paul at Ross. The hope was that a Downtown mall would do for Dallas what Horton Plaza did for Downt...

I kinda hope Clutch and Concrete end up on Ross Ave, a little further north so as to help bridge the gap with Lower Greenville, but I'm guessing they both end up in the vicinity of City Lights, Backyard, Bottled Blonde, and all that.

The site previously announced for the McKinney/Boll tower was on the southeast corner so yes, it would seem this is another, separate project (this one on the northeast corner) making a grand total of THREE potential new towers at this intersection. Wow!
