That's a positive sign to me, the urgency to get these projects done, rather than to stop construction.

You're correct about Pottery Barn and some of the other retailers. They're trying to fend off looters, like the ones who were arrested for attempting to rob Jack & Ginger's over the weekend.

Thanks for posting, rono! That first photo shows the broad gap F&O is filling. There's not a lot to be happy about these days but this building and its continued progress, for me, is definitely one of them.

That's happening here in DFW too. One of my local clients has a few dedicated offices and cubes but the remaining ~75% are for employees and vendors who happen to be in the office at any given time. I actually share a cube with former Cowboy Emmitt Smith since we're both rarely in that office.

I think you're right, unfortunately. The rumor already was that it was a rezone-and-flip but without buyers, this (much less desirable outcome) isn't happening either anytime soon.

There's a lot of potential for denser development in the area; I just didn't expect it to start East of Greenville. All those parking lots around the Truckyard, all the suburban-style retail along Greenville and Ross, the Sprouts site, up and down Henderson, etc...

Wow, I'm stunned! A building of such scale and caliber, built right off Greenville. I'd be shocked if the neighbors don't go apeshit and do everything they can to stop this but I really really hope this happens.

The parking was intentionally built above ground so it could someday be converted to office/residential. You can see it on the left-hand side of that rendering, yes, facing those townhomes.

I couldn't tell how connected the components of phase 2 were and whether its office and hotel portions were actually separate towers, but if they're only attached at the base then you're right.
