A couple of nights ago I saw the LED display. At one point, there might have been some kind of lettering, but I couldn't make it out. Hope these aren't too shaky/blurry, had to slow down but keep driving while taking these.

Too bad the I-35E bridge isn't able to be retrofitted later. Not sure what kind of arch/suspension structure would go with such a wide bridge... maybe a double set of I-30 style arches since each directional set of lanes on I-35E is widely divided?

In recent days, there has *finally* been some activity on the project. Wood forms, rebar, and even some concrete has appeared along Cesar Chavez. Hopefully this is a good sign that things will pick up and get done sooner rather than later.

Last night I passed the Statler and noticed the DMN logo has been placed just above the Commerce side entrance to the ex-library. Guess it won't be too long before the Young Streeters have to start packing (although the brief peek past the window coverings gave me a not-quite-there-yet impression).

That pic of the AC entryway on the Culturemap site is some other property. The DTD hotel doesn't look like that in front.

Not only no on-site parking yet, no pool yet, either. The 3 hotels will have a combined 300+ rooms. NewcrestImage (the franchisee behind all 3 hotels) could ill afford the fire delay.

Maybe, but it would be difficult to be a downtown-area hotel (much less hotel with residences) without some kind of driveway and covered entrance.
