Dumb question: Would the Spire be considered a viable Amazon2 candidate (urban, near freeways, near transit, near arts) or would the project even be so lucky? Landing a plum like Amazon would certainly get the Spirers out of the can-we-launch-this-project-or-not doldrums they've been in up to now.

The overpass bridge that will span TX 114-TX 121 and approach to DFW for the TexRail is coming along.

View from the westbound 114-121 service road. Concrete supports are in place from the highway northward, and bridge beams were recently put into place atop the supports.

Was wondering.... the last couple of times I've been by the residences that are there now, there was still a for-lease (or for-rent) sign out front. I'd hate to be somebody that fell for that sign, then realized 6 months later they'd be told to leave-the place had been sold.

Raising money from a lot of small donors has a low chance of success without a lead donor. The park needs to find an invidual or corporation to lead the renovation, and even grant naming rights if necessary. Note for those attending an event or dining/drinking at the Music Factory: I have it on good authority that if you want an Uber/Lyft ride, you have to walk all the way around to the 114 service road side. Security is not allowing pickups by the restaurants/bars at all. I can see this working for eve...

Too bad the I-35E bridge isn't able to be retrofitted later. Not sure what kind of arch/suspension structure would go with such a wide bridge... maybe a double set of I-30 style arches since each directional set of lanes on I-35E is widely divided?

In recent days, there has *finally* been some activity on the project. Wood forms, rebar, and even some concrete has appeared along Cesar Chavez. Hopefully this is a good sign that things will pick up and get done sooner rather than later.
