It seems that a much better option would be to extend the park EASTWARD a few hundred feet, and then work to integrate it with the Arts District by re configuring the Annette Strauss Square as a pass through to the core of the Arts District. That square, while beautiful, is hardly used and walled o...

Great location—better than anything they have on Harwood St. More accessible. More walkable (into VP). More shopping and restaurants nearby. Their other buildings seem to be doing well. One would this one would do even better.

My ideal in this age of mega mixed use would be for someone to collaborate with TRE and with the Pollock family who own the 1960s buildings to the south. Between the DART property, this property, and the Pollock property, that's about 25 acres for TOD. Even cooler would be to coordinate that "...

So much of the Uptown restaurant scene is aimed at expense account dining. It’s nice to see a grocery store and some affordable spots for the people who actually live there. That’s what makes a neighborhood livable.

You're right about DE though. The new retail on both sides of the street looks like a very promising configuration. This may become the lively block that the Arts Distirct has needed. With the more affordable restaraunts here, they might even draw some foot traffic up from KWP.

I agree—-I think that a lot of downtown land sits idle for decades because it is zoned and priced for 50 story office towers that the market will not support. The low rise residential in the Farmers Market seems to be doing well. If developers don’t want to be that low, then some 10-12 story residen...

Dunhill is keeping too tight a reign on the DD. I find it very telling that while new projects are being floated in almost every other neighborhood, very little is even on the drawing board here.
