Re: Highland Park Village

Interesting - not seeing these updated maps on their site but all makes sense. The Tot space is still empty. I wonder what happened to the Vince 2nd story expansion? Also the 2nd floor of the Chanel building is largely vacant. They specifically mentioned in the DNM article that they plan to put reta...

Re: Highland Park Village

Goyard wrap now up in previous Stella McCartney space. Madison 214 moving to previous Hadleighs space. This will allow Bruno Cucinelli’s flagship expansion as has been rumored.

Re: Highland Park Village

I did some digging around on the HP Permit site. The current Tory Burch space has a renovation permit filed under Tory Burch so appears they may move to Draper James on a temp basis while the perm store undergoes renovation. The Stella McCartney space has a demo and Reno permit filed but not yet iss...

Re: Highland Park Village

Former Draper James has coming soon Tory Burch signs so they are on the move. Perhaps Goyard wanted two spaces? Also Hadleighs opens July 5 in the former Goop/Billy Reid space. Appears this leaves 2 vacant spaces next to them. Still surprised Billy Reid never reopened after so many years in Dallas.

Re: Highland Park Village

Draper James website now lists their Dallas store as being located at Windrose Parkway in Plano - disappointing to lose an exclusive store to the suburbs. Not sure why HPV is so secretive - they used to have a nice coming soon portion of their site. If they actually believe they are a destination th...

Re: Northpark Center

My AMEX offers when I log in are catered to my zip code (Al Biernats, Paul Martin, etc) and what is interesting is that Maje, Sandro and Joie all show up as of this week. Seems the Joie Dallas location is imminent.

Re: Highland Park Village

I called Draper and they said they were not ready to announce the new location but will soon. They said that there will be a gap between HPV closing and opening of new store but that they would still be available for private styling and consultation in the gap.

Re: Northpark Center

It seems like they would need the Blvgari space to truly expand. But maybe the plan is to keep the men’s store separate. They have begun opening men’s stand alone locations in other cities.

Re: Highland Park Village

Draper James has a sign out that this is their last week at HPV and will be relocating. Not sure where. This adds to the highest number of vacant spaces we have seen in a long time. The only space that appears to be under construction is Goyard but still no coming soon sign on location for them or a...

Re: Northpark Center

Nice additions. It does surprise me that these brands are testing Austin first. Neither will be Texas exclusives as the Domain and Houston Galleria both have them. Still waiting for COS to come to Dallas too after success in Houston and Austin

Re: Northpark Center

Tuft & Needle now lister as coming soon. Appears to be a new gen mattress company with value pricing. This seems like an odd add to me. I’m not sure I really understand the Arhaus or Design Within Reach plays either. Surely these stores don’t need mall traffic to be successful and the rents have...

Re: Highland Park Village

I agree with your rankings for the most part. I was just in Chicago and I must say that DFW has quite a few stores that Chicago does not. Michigan Ave and Oak St are certainly lined with some amazing flagship locations of the big boys. But when you look at some of the more emerging and hip youthful ...

Re: Highland Park Village

DNM got the official scoop - Goyard opens in November in the former Stella McCartney space. That should make it a pretty decent sized store. Certainly bigger than the tiny footprint Chicago got inside of Neimans. This is huge for Dallas and will certainly put us on the radar for more very exclusive ...

Re: Northpark Center

hjkll you are clueless. NP has brought in or adding 15 exclusive retailers you can only find at NP in DFW in the last year. Name a center that has brought in half that many new retailers. Matt- I hear Eataly is taking former PIRCH space, so darn cool if it’s true. According to this quote from the E...

Re: Knox / Henderson - Knox Street Side

Where is the intel on CB2 coming from? Very exciting if that is true! Simply from asking the official looking guys who were locking up the doors on my way to lunch from RH to Chipotle. They mentioned it had been leased- to CB2. I don't know anything about the building being torn down or replaced. A...

Stella was gone and empty when I was there last week. With that space, Goop’s pending closure, Great Republic’s temp space and Saint Laurent’s move to NP we will hopefully get some exciting new stores

Re: Northpark Center

I agree the men’s store is def temporary. The men’s line now carries ready to wear clothing for the first time in Dallas. But the much larger original store wasn’t reconfigured to carry women’s clothing so they appear to be have other plans. Perhaps the Williams Sonoma space that still doesn’t have ...

Billy Reid has closed. Surprising to see this - perhaps they will reopen at Northpark or move to Knox? With Austin, Houston and 2 Atlanta stores I would be surprised they couldn’t make it work in Dallas.

Re: Northpark Center

What's interesting is the number of potentially large spaces now vacant. Agent Provocateur is closed. That leaves that space plus the adjoining Coach space to be combined. Williams-Sonoma plus Cartier could be one large space. Valentino plus Gregory's. Bebe plus Helen Ficolora. I am surprised how sl...
