Re: Victory Park: The Victor (~453FT / 39ST)

I'm happy something is being built here, however I really do hate the building. I don't like the design, and I think the name is just comical. Seriously? The Victor at Victory Park? That's gotta be the lamest thing I've heard in weeks. All being said, it will be nice to haver more density and more r...

Re: DART D2 Subway

Dallas needs to build a real subway system in the city. DART rail simply does not do the job. It's inconvenient and the system was designed to accommodate the suburbs, not the actual city itself. Dallas needs to build a subway system around the core and densest neighborhoods that is entirely separa...

Re: Texas Odyssey Development

There was a giant warehouse on this site back in the day, right? Alford Refrigerators if I remember correctly? I only ask because I remember the mixed use project that was proposed for that site from maybe a decade ago

Re: Deep Ellum 1.0

Baker's Ribs is closing for a bank in Deep Ellum, as 'wildcatters' of old make way for boomtown https://www.dallasnews.com/opinion/commentary/2018/09/27/bakers-ribs-closing-bank-deep-ellum-wildcatters-old-make-way-boomtown Joe Duncan emailed this week with a simple enough request. "If you have...

Re: Northpark Center

I heard a rumor that Northpark is gearing up for a new expansion. Was even told a tenant like Eataly is in the mix. That being said, you just never know how fruitful hearing a rumor can be, so I just wanted to put this feeler out there and see if anybody had heard any similar rumors recently.

Re: Victory Park 3.0

Not trying to be that annoying guy that tells you whether they liked something or not, but I went to Cinepolis Saturday night and really enjoyed it haha.

I really think it's going to be a nice asset at Victory Park

Re: Dallas Area Rapid Transit

Are there any urban explorers out there that think they can get into any of these places? And if so, can provide pictures...

Also if parts of the infrastructure are already place, why wouldn't they think of connecting the existing DART along these paths as part of the D2 expansion?

Re: Dallas Area Rapid Transit

Not really sure where else to post, or ask this question...so I figured this might be the best spot. Anyways, I remember reading on this forum (way back on the old forum, and maybe a decade ago as well) that a few buildings on Ross were constructed with potential subway stations in the basement. I c...

Re: Harwood Int'l District: Harwood No. 11 (The Forum)

Not trying to accidentally get anyone's hopes up by posting on this thread, but I saw an excavator digging on the grass by Happiest Hour today. Just wanted to see if anyone knew what was going on here?

Re: Victory Park 3.0

I could end up being very wrong, but I'm thinking with all these nightlife establishments opening up that it's very possible that Victory Park becomes a new nighttime hotspot (especially with a lot of the bars being pushed off of McKinney Avenue). However, I guess we won't really know until the firs...

Re: Knox: Armstrong &Cole

I went to SM as well. Grew up in the Park Cities. Park Cities schools are nice, but they're way different than going to an SM or Hockaday. Particularly with regards to the facilities, and size of classes. When you have 15 kids in a class, those kids are going to get a lot more attention than a kid i...

Re: Oak Lawn

They need to put a plan to do to Oak Lawn what they did to Greenville Avenue. I feel like with that type of pedestrian network, the whole area would just transform over night.

Re: DART D2 Subway

I'm very confused by both entrances to this subway. Both of them just seem like bad ideas to me. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for building this subway but the entrances just seem poorly thought out. Victory Park: are we just going to have trains running along Museum Way? That seems like an incredibly...

Not really sure where else to put this but...has anyone else been on the Exxir website and seen the project they have for Carlisle Street in Uptown? It looks incredibly fascinating.
