I caught DART LRV 135 today. Its LED display provided a sensory disconnect. It showed RED LINE in red letters when the train was a actually running as an Orange Line train turning back at LBJ/Central station. Operator or system problem, I guess. Well, it appears that the leasing office is open. Along Flora Street there are some "Future Resident Parking" signs, the FloraLofts sign is lit and the lobby is well decorated.

A zoning change request sign has sprouted on the planned apartment tower area along the Olive Street side.The number is Z167-360.

The DCTA train operating contract has been transferred from First Transit to Rio Grande Pacific. Looks like Savor in Klyde Warren Park is serving it's last meal Sunday evening and closing down for good. Which should also include the Relish outlet facing SWA Porch. The platform is being extending northward. This requires the removal of a cement block wall. One of the tracks needs to be completely closed while this is done.

Well, Dallas has lost a building....and gained a landmark, The Leanibg Tower of Dallas.


Most of the building went down as planned. The elevator bank said NAW!

It is leaning to the east.

The William B. Travis school is now also a construction site. No actual work yet but the Cole Ave. side parking lot and part of the playground have been assigned to the contractor. A tracked backhoe is parked in the teacher's parking lot.

It does. It was made the terminus of D-Link when it switched to electric buses, and now is the terminus of route 749, which now uses the ex-D-Link buses. The requisite investment in a bus charging station is also probably part of why they want to find ways to continue using the electrics. I did not...

Cava offered free meals today (1/20) and will open for regular service on 1/21. The hours will be 10:45 am to 10 pm daily. This is the new restaurant in the Spaces building at McKinney and St. Paul.
