There was a 2 alarm fire in the Ambassador Hotel this evening. This was all I could find on it for now:

Re: Uptown Dallas: Central Market at McKinney and Lemmon

There's quite a few electrical contractor vehicles parked out front of the building today. I'm trying not to get my hopes up, and thinking they're doing work inside to keep the building from falling into disrepair.

Don't know if the pictures do it justice, but the highly reflective glass on the building really make it stand out from all the buildings around it. It's quite a different look in West Village.

Re: Dallas Love Field Airport

A somewhat similar example to Love Field would be Chicago Midway (coincidentally another fortress hub for SWA). Very dense area using less surface area with only Cicero Ave being the main way in and out of the airport. Hell it's so tightly packed the TSA checkpoint is on a bridge over the 6 lane roa...

You count every single person coming through the door of Northpark and ask where they are from, there's a pretty good chance they won't say "Dallas", so it will obviously have a higher number than Sixth Floor Museum. I just wouldn't call them tourists either, because they could just be com...

A part of me is hoping that this is all a push to make the 20 gate limit cap go away. Every airline (especially SWA) currently wants to expand, but can't.

I can't even remember the last time I saw someone checking tickets on a train. Per the post on Anet, think central terminal like PHX or IAH with long linear concourses on either side. Think Delta's DTW McNamara terminal. That almost one mile concourse has like 64 gates. So two of those gets you 128 gates right there. Again, the median of International Parkway is more than wid...
