Re: Legacy West

I see your point. Overall, it is better than having nothing. The frustrating thing is that these 3 things (Shops of Legacy, Legacy West, new deck park) could have been a really walkable/pleasant/green area with better planning. I work in the area and go to Shops and Legacy West pretty frequently. Th...

A few years ago when I was in NYC, I saw this building, 488 Madison Avenue, and it seriously reminded me of 505 N Ervay. They were both completed in 1949. Of course the New York one is a lot nicer, haha.

I love looking at this footage. I wonder if the downtown activity was concentrated mainly at EMC. I'd love to see what West End, Farmers Market, Pacific, and Ross Ave looked like. I did notice some of the same surface lots we have today (Main/Griffin, Commerce/Harwood, behind City Hall). While the o...

It's pretty bad, but at least the sidewalks are wide and they added some trees. Hopefully it will bring more activity to this part of downtown. It would be cool if Cindi's deli next door would extend its hours now that there are more people in the area - that, and remove the privacy screens from the...

Got up close to this one last night. On the Taylor Street side, I saw signs for a floral shop coming in on the far corner, and I believe there's was retail available for one more vendor. On the Pearl Street side, I think there's a Thai place and 2-3 more retail spaces.

The development facing Marilla has a ton of retail space.

Thanks so much for the info. I know housing first has worked really well in other cities, and BC Workshop has helped out with a small village here in Dallas, but that takes a lot of money to start up and sustain.
