Re: Downtown Dallas Retail

^True. I get annoyed/frustrated often but always stay optimistic. West End is supposedly still getting a "food hall" at Factory Six03. Hopefully the WE park, Holocaust Museum, and leasing of the Purse Building will help liven up other areas of DT as well.

Was at VP around 8 last night. A lot of the plywood covering retail storefronts has come down. The Imoto entrance looks better now. There's also a new ramen place with a large patio next to the Cinepolis that looks like it will be opening soon.

I'm rarely downtown on Sunday mornings, so not sure if people stick around after their services. But when I visit downtown during the week I rarely see anybody around the FBC premises. I haven't kept up, but I haven't read anything that says it will definitely become a garage.

I like how they're extending the enclosed bottom portion of the triangular building for more retail/restaurant space. Also, I didn't realize they're wanting to close the street next to it for pedestrians.

I was just downtown last night from about 6-8pm. I was surprised to see the amount of people on a Sunday night walking around and on scooters/bikes. ^That's true. It's better than before, but with so many projects completed I would have thought there would be a pretty consistent level of street activity by now. Agree w/ Dpatel. I'd say Discovery District for creating a destination for downtown, East Quarter for merging downtown and Deep Ellum, and I'd add the Holocaust Museum for hopefully bringing more activity to the West End.
