Also, I mostly bike everywhere (because bike facilities in Oakland are plentiful, safe, and convenient!), but so long as I own a car I will almost always use it when going grocery shopping. It's clear that the Highland Park Soda Fountain building will get some much needed restoration, but does this mean that the restaurant will close??? It is currently the oldest restaurant in Dallas and quite charming. It would be a terrible loss to see it go.

Commissary is a wonderful addition to downtown. Their house made bagels are a perfect breakfast. I'm so glad to have this within walking distance of my office, and soon I will be living nearby again!

I'm sad to see that brick building go. It's pleasant and human scale. These Dream Hotel people better get it together on this project, and deliver. If not, it's a step backwards for the area to lose that building. I would have much rather had the Sugar building go and the hotel be on the corner.

We don't even have too look that far for a good example of what to build. The exterior of the Element apartments across the street has some nice Mid-century Modern vibes, and some of that carries on to the interiors of the units. do something like that with a butterfly roof and call it a day,

That parking garage will also be clad in the same green class. That is, if they're staying true to the renders they released. It actually won't look too bad for a parking garage if they stick to the plan.
