I guess I have poor taste... I'm generally pleased with the Harwood designs. I think they've design some really pretty buildings and I'm excited to see how the new hotel comes out!

I don't think Gingerman corporate sold, I think just the property did. The Gingerman just opened a brand new location in Las Colinas about 3 weeks ago. Assuming a new restaurant or developer wanted the property?!

On another note, the Point West shopping center going up just on the other side of Beltline seems to be coming along. They've already announced Panera Bread and Dunkin Donuts as tenants, along with Great Clips and a Mexican restaurant.

I would have preferred Sixty Vines... not impressed with Mexican Sugar, but lots of people love it. Liquor sales passed, and Total Wine and More alerted the Chamber of Commerce they want the Toys R Us building on MacArthur. Woo hoo! Would love to have Total Wine and More! I hadn't heard that about Bar Louie... I mean they certainly could seeing as the space right next door is still vacant. I think Gloria's is boxed in, although they did upgrade their patio facing the plaza. I think the Reservoir has the potential to take some of the Bar Louie clientele once they open.

I will say they did get some serious wind... Half the utility poles right there along Beltline were knocked down and some were even snapped in half. Tons more leaning over. They must have gotten 80+ straight line winds. Still cause for concern though!

A quick glance at the website indicates the approx. pricing for apartments...

1 Bedroom- $2500 / 2 Bedroom- $6000 / 3 Bedroom- $12,000

I'm assuming they can find enough gullible buyers to pay these prices. I mean don't get me wrong, the finish-outs are spectacular!

Don't forget, there's still 7K sq ft of restaurant space next to where Chase is. I think the plan was always to have an upscale restaurant, casual restaurant and a grab-n-go spot. I bet we'll see something more approachable go in as well!
