Moncler is very nice, but yes... I have to agree. It would suffer the same fate Manrico Cashmere did in the past. Beautiful stuff, wrong climate. COS and Uniqlo would be great and I'm surprised Topshop still hasn't opened a store here.

The new Gregory's is open and looks like a completely different retailer. Valentino has closed and 7 For All Mankind has closed, I'm not sure if temporarily or not.

The shopping center should have been torn down and rebuilt as mixed use with parking garages, residential, retail, etc in a walkable village.

I'm still pretty sure Aesop will be replacing Ilori. As for Tom's I always thought they'd go on L2 by The Walking Company and Journeys, it's interesting that they could be going in the Nordstrom L1 area.

Odd when I go on the NP website and look at the map, I don't see any of that and those stores were open when I went to the movies there last night. Also, I think Lilly Pulitzer went into the previous Gymboree space.

The sidewalks were improved on the Hunkys/Roundup Block and not really any neighborhood interruptions. I'm sure they could find a way to do this in a smart manner.

Hi-Line and Oak Lawn have great streetscape designs. I think Slocum and Dragon could be designed better with actual sidewalks, street lamps, planters, etc. to make it look like more of a complete street scene.

Yep! There was a re-do in the works, but that just disappeared. It needs to be completely gutted and rebuilt.

This model of luxury and high-end everything just makes this end of Uptown dead. Look what happened to the first round at Victory Park. Compare that to Uptown North of Maple Ave. a totally different atmosphere.

I always find it funny when I see these developments like this and the Richards Group buildings that have HUGE parking garages, but still feel the need to put in surface parking. Just make the first of level or two of the garage for visitors and deliveries.

I imagined the retail space being more popular there. I hope they don't try to fill it up with a bunch of expensive restaurants. That KWP / Arts District area needs more regular tourist friendly spots.

I agree. The hotel should go up and then the apts can follow as the market allows. I think the apts would actually do really well if built now though.
