They've already dug up the asphalt on this lot. It's moving along quickly. I'm still wondering if it will in fact be 22 stories.

How come the city doesn't push developers to try to be more created with parking? They seem to be picky about apt buildings having above ground parking, but then turn around and let surface lots continue to pop up. We take a step forward and then get pushed back a step.

Perhaps with Intercontinental leaving the Addison area, they are looking to open in Central Dallas? A Loews hotel returning to Dallas would be a good fit as well.

I wish the parking lot at Elm/Main and Malcolm X would be developed. Even if a cool public space.
A year round skate park with half-pipes should be built somewhere in Deep Ellum. That place would be packed and a great spot to people watch and be entertained.

I saw this tonight and it really stands out and makes you envision what they have in mind for that street. I'm excited to see what happens there. I hope the new highrise apt tower at the end of the street does happen. It's much needed to make this street re-do successful.

A lot of that landscaping along McKinney could be torn out to put in better sidewalks if the city worked with the property owners. The section by the Trophy Room is the worst section.

Yes, the scale of that building is perfect for that corner. But I won't hold my breath when it comes to Headington, especially what they've done to the Elm side behind Forty-Five Ten and that God awful driveway. This is what I'm worried about. With the land the Walgreens is on being attached to this property. I'd love to see that lot re-developed as well. If we had at least one side of McKinney more urban through that block. It would really help connect West Village to the rest of Uptown. Right now it just feels separated.

I hope this guess started this Summer. This is one of the projects I've been excited about and feel like it will complete the Arts District along with the new Hall Arts Residences. We need this building!

The new Johnston & Murphy is open in the previous 7 for all Mankind space and it now contains a full men's and women's line. There is construction plywood up at the old J&M location next to James Avery. Is this where Scotch & Soda will go? or is an existing retailer moving into that space?

It looks like it may appear taller on the skyline than it appears to in the renderings. It looks short and squatty in some of the digital images posted.

LoMac has so many semi-urban towers with fancy steakhouses with valet drive thrus out front. The city should have not allowed it start developing that way. It's not going to generate much walking unfortunately. I still cringe at the horrible suburban Truluck's plopped right down on that street. Who ...

How many feet is the proposed 39 story building supposed to be? I think the 43 story Mandarin was supposed to be around 650 feet if I remember correctly.

There appears to be some build out taking place in the previous Idle Rich space on McKinney. I don't know why they didn't just let Idle Rich stay open. I felt like they were a good neighborhood spot that didn't get too wild.

Supposedly Saint Laurent and Balenciaga will move to the vacant spots in the luxury wing.. which leads to question what will take their spots in HPV Very interesting. I hope HP Village continues to do well. Some stores are a better fit at NorthPark. There are multiple spaces opening up at NorthPark...
