I imagined the retail space being more popular there. I hope they don't try to fill it up with a bunch of expensive restaurants. That KWP / Arts District area needs more regular tourist friendly spots.
1) The Poston building is gone on Hall Street. 2) The apts at Welborn and Cedar Springs has a pretty nice exterior finish. 3) The new retail going into the Centrum on the Welborn side looks pretty nice. The re-development while not as grandiose as I thought it would be is still a nice improvement.
Very cool. It sounds like a great mix and I do think the additions of the new towers in the area and the conversions going on in West End will really pull it all together and hopefully make it super successful.
This building is so awesome. I hope all of this redevelopment of old properties in this part of downtown sparks some great infill between this area and the Farmer's Market. It wouldn't take long to fill in that gap.
Nice to see a nail salon going in as well. I always thought it was just going to be the two restaurants. It's funny how many nail salons are in Oak Lawn compared to other areas of Dallas. People in Da Lawn love to get them nails did.
Yes, the fountain outside of Dillards needs to be updated and that whole duck pond/planter the kids slide on outside Neimans needs to be torn out. I can't believe the mall lets kids climb on the fixtures and slide down them!
It looks like they just re-used a portion of the Coach store. Are they waiting on another space to open or is this just a pop-up? I assume the same will happen with Ruti and Akola since they are expected to open rather quickly.
