Can't they just eat up a surface lot right around there? We need some of those smaller surface lots to be redeveloped to connect with the core of downtown better.

Rodd & Gunn is now open and Brookstone announced today that it will be closing all of it's mall stores, so that's another spot that will open up in the mall. I'm not surprised by the Brookstone announcement and I always felt like it looked odd in that spot anyway.

When they cared out the space for Saint Laurent and Ferragamo, they have built the storefront to SL as needed because they just have the flat drywall covering the front instead of the typical box you see when the store front is being remodeled.

This rendering looks more realistic although I hate that the signature tower is gone.

They also need to change the name from Midtown. There's already a Midtown Park area.

I feel like this area is now starting to beg for more activity. I drove through and the stuff that was open were all busy. I wish the new Asian restaurant was more open and inviting though. The windows are blacked out and makes it look closed.

I believe they are working on the 2nd floor now. It should start to go up faster. That first floor is always the slowest.

There are improvements that have been started in "Lower Stemmons" from Oak Lawn Avenue to SH 183 as well. It looks like they will be reconfiguring the ramps and also the dangerous SH 183 EB to 35E SB center lane merge.

Does anyone have more details?

ATL is getting a Hard Rock Hotel near it's downtown sports venues. Perhaps that may be plan in Dallas as well. That small surface lot next to the AAC on Victory across from the proposed new apt tower would be a good location!

The new Clarks location is open and it's a very nice looking store. The old location looks to have the flat drywall going up, so I imagine there's not anything currently planned for that space. Also, I believe Aesop will open around July 20th. The opening date was pushed back some due to some design...
