There's also Lorna Jane and Ivivva on the 2nd level. Patagonia would have been nice next to North Face or use the space to let another current retailer expand to the larger space and lease the smaller one to a newcomer to the center.

Athleta and Outdoor Voices opening on top of the other similar stores is too much. I feel like NorthPark gets stuck on a trend and goes overboard. We had a bunch of high end watch stores open around the same time, and then the make-up store trend at the mall, now it's athleisure stores.

I just think there needs to be more destination retail there and it would be fine. The first floor has the most vacant space. The other floors are pretty full.

I don't feel like NP is getting too high end, but rather getting unique stores to the market or state.
I think their goal is about creating a more unique shopping experience rather than pricing people out.

With the direction NorthPark is going, it's funny that the GAP and Express now stick out some. I wouldn't be surprised if one or both of them move to the second floor where Sephora was and possibly one of them closing (most likely Express) to open up those spaces for more unique retailers.

Wow... I'm wondering what's going on there. I just wish that brands that don't do well there would try to open in another Dallas location like NorthPark that has higher foot traffic. We've lost DVF, Giuseppe Zanotti and now Stella McCartney. All of which could have possibly done well in another spot...

Bottletop appears to be a pop-up store in the space that was previously Valentino. Also... Scotch & Soda is building out in the previous Papyrus location as they've opened their new spot in the old Johnston & Murphy space. I'm still not quite sure what is going on with 7 for all Mankind relo...

The area is currently too broken up by surface parking. Once these current buildings are renovated, infill will be necessary to make it actually work.

Rodd & Gunn is now open and Brookstone announced today that it will be closing all of it's mall stores, so that's another spot that will open up in the mall. I'm not surprised by the Brookstone announcement and I always felt like it looked odd in that spot anyway.
