Re: Uptown Dallas: McKinney/Boll Tower - 2614 McKinney Ave - (18 ST)

I took the comment about ST residents wanting valet parking to mean so that outsiders don’t clog up the neighborhood with parked cars where they clearly are not welcomed.

Oh wow, that's surprising. Isn't Eberhard relatively newish (meaning the last year or so)? I think it opened in 2015/2016. I like it! Nice, if quirky, addition to the neighborhood. Really like the big windows. Happy to see retail incorporated as it was not included in Aura on McKinney two blocks east. I'm sure that space won't stay empty long. IDK. That space immediately north has struggled to find its identity as well. Can’t remember the original, but then it was Patrizios and then something else. I hope someone can figure out the puzzle. The CE space may be big enough for two smaller operations.

I generally agree. Deck parks are pricey and sort of gimmicks but I do think they start to help with the damage done by freeways. My question is when does the gimmick give out and when does the park itself become as valuable as a park on land that would be much cheaper to build. I have expressed su...

Except for the view of downtown, what is the benefit of a sky bridge? If you really need to get across 75 without the elements, use the DART tunnel. In the very far future when lots north and south of Haskell are much more dense....,perhaps. Although atvthat time a deck park should be considered.
