The new rendering provided in the Candys Dirt article shows the building is 50' shorter due to the parking garage podium buried underground. Interesting that Weirs has a 6story hole in the ground while A block away RH has a few concrete stubs sticking out of the ground (no underground anything planned here). I think they demoed at right around the same time.

Out walking today and noticed Manny’s Uptown is closed. Apparently the building caught fire recently. It happened on Christmas Eve.

A second chance to ”take the money and run” perhaps? Collect your insurance check then sell to developer OR rebuild?

DFW has a nationally recognized airport and airplane fire fighting training facility. Firefighters come from all over to take the training. I’ve wondered about the smoke myself For years. Recently saw a news story about it. They recreate a jet in full flames which creates a lot of smoke.

I was under the impression from a Forbes article(?) these were back office support type jobs. JPM Chase is adding a 12 story building to the new campus as we speak. It appears from driving by that they are already at the second or third floor. Perhaps that’s a good Sign that the relo will be to Plano.

Here are some update photos from different directions. Interesting how it looks fatter/wider traveling south on Central and slimmer if you are going north from DT. Most of the exterior work is completed now.

I don't know...it's not very sexy or exciting. Then again, this isn't Uptown, it's Knox.
