Re: Could Dallas land Amazon HQ '2'?

But unlike places like NYC and DC, that have very prominent downtown areas, Dallas CBD could certainly stand to benefit from a substantial Amazon presence. Why NYC or DC would give away so much? I don't know... But, I certainly see why we would.

I've always been underwhelmed by the outside of the Convention Center... It's poorly landscaped, poor signage, the back of the convention center is a flat out eyesore. It's not really all that pleasant to walk around or navigate compared to other centers I attend (and I've been to more than my fair...

It wouldn't surprise me at all to see residential real estate prices make a correction. I feel that they have been artificially high for a couple of years now. I expected a slight correction a year ago, but I think some of the Amazon buzz may have propped them up a little. As that ship has sailed (o...

For those curious, per Wikipedia, the population of Leon County as of the 2010 Census was 16,801. After all the back and forth on this, I am honestly kind of amazed that our highway system even exists. The difference is that the highways benefit the rural areas, and the benefits outweigh the negati...

DART seems to be built for those who have no choice instead of trying to serve the area population as a whole. I'm not suggesting that it's a bad objective as it does provide an option to those who have no other option. But when you do that, you have little motivation for providing 'better' service....

Light rail can easily be operated as a streetcar through urban environments.
