Not about the market? It has everything to do with the market. The market dictates everything about developments in the city. Don't forget about McKinney and Boll falling through.

I like this version better than the tripple A battery. Nonetheless, the design is nothing exciting. Generic at best. Glassy and blase at worst. But it's still much better than the Foster battery.

That's very short sighted thinking. I'm thinking in the long term. Parking garages and more people is only going to create monolithic traffic congestion which will gridlock the streets. 75 is already a parking lot during rush hour.

Re: Knox / Henderson - Knox Street Side

We would all like to see something more dense and urban. However, the lack of sufficient public transit makes that improbable and impracticable. People are still dependent on vehicle travel, and with the expressway next door, the demand for cars is sufficiently high. However, to change these dynamic...

That is precisely what is going to happen. As of now, the luxury boom is finished. Uptown and Victory Park might see a few more developments over time, but even Uptown has had projects like the 18 story Boll Tower fall through. The current market is now in bearish territory. Big Tech has collectivel...

The Butler's parking garage has been there for over 40 years, so it has a good excuse. Everything else, agree. I also find it hilarious that we have a thread dedicated to parking garages. Dunhill is keeping too tight a reign on the DD. I find it very telling that while new projects are being floated in almost every other neighborhood, very little is even on the drawing board here. To be fair--and I say this as someone who hates buildings built on parking garage pedestals--it is very difficult and expensive to build parking underground since you hit limestone after going 10 feet underground.
