Arlington needs to focus on establishing a public transit system. Buses. They keep experimenting with this and that while traffic gets worse and their infrastructure gets worse. Arlington has this really bad suburban mentality that focuses too much on sports entertainment rather than essential trans...

This is my only problem with many of these buildings going up. They all look the same. Dallas needs more architectural variety in its developments, and less stucco, of course.

I vaguely recall hearing it had some electrical component fail a few months ago, can't remember where or when though. I'm just glad they're back to having enough operable cars to run three in regular service, instead of just two like they did for a while. They will be running three cars by January....

Emma's sitting in the barn. She often has trouble when she goes into service. Nothing has been done with her yet as workers are working on the ex Toronto car at the moment.

I personally think that Dallas has had enough glass. We need more brick and traditional style architecture to add into the aesthetic feature.

Tunneling 345 is a pipe dream. It's just not going to happen. It would conflict with the DART subway line, whose portal is too close to the 345 corridor. I believe the funds are coming from federal grants. Since the MATA has taken federal grant money, there have been a lot of changes in the business now that it is under federal mandates. But, as I am aware, the Knox Henderson is going to happen.

MATA is currently working on plans to expand the trolley line to Henderson and Knox, and possibly to Cityplace. They are going ahead with the plans.

It's funny to me when I head California described as not "business-friendly." Somehow 3 of the 4 largest companies in the world managed to be born there, 2 of which in the last 20 years. Plus, developing the center of innovation that presumably drives future growth. Sounds pretty business...

Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis are equally as young and have better transit. Look at it this way.

The demand is for hotels in Dallas is incredibly high. Why? Because we are becoming a central business mecca for North American commerce. The fact is, we just might not have enough, yet, to satisfy demand.

It has a similar presence as the high rise that once stood in this location, the Hotel Jefferson. I still remember when the highrise in that picture was just an empty frame. It seems they started construction on it a decade ago and it just stopped and for several years the site remained vacant of any work.

Not to mention the new warehouses Amazon has been building all over the DFW metroplex. They've a new one in South Dallas literally a mile away from the 20 location. It's a 500,000 square foot facility. They also have warehouses in Coppell. They have several around DFW.

I wish more buildings in Dallas were designed with the quality and beauty of this building complex. The city has had too much ugly stucco and boring glass. We need more architectural class.

The area needs small independent mom and pop shops. That's what it needs. This focus on bringing in big retailers is fine, but if you want a truly vibrant and organic atmosphere, we need small mom and pop shops.
