I went to TreeHouse once. It was a very cool store, but there was very little you could actually purchase on the showroom floor, minus a bunch of home automation stuff like Nest that you can get basically anywhere. Bizarre place. Not surprised it's folding.

My opinion: they seem to be legitimately interested in becoming a 'university' and not just a fancy engineering trade school. I wouldn't be surprised if they had long-term plans (~20 years) to open a more liberal-arts esque college on campus, and this may push them along.

Crystal City VA is directly west of the Ronald Regan airport and slightly south of The Pentagon. I don't see that being a great location for HQ#2.
