It's too bad it could fail hard if they cant get the mall torn down and move forward. I don't think this hotel would be able to hold out for a generation like the W Hotel did when Victory Park tripped and fell the first time.

You missed something. Mostly on the Oak Cliff side in fact. One will have a ramp the other will have stairs. The line down the middle will be a separation between east and west bicycle traffic. The approaches on the Riverfront side will be what appears to be ramps so another confusing Dallas design...

Just adds to the continuing density the area is seeing. There seems to be some solid action from developers around the Galleria despite Midtown's slow progress. Many open sites are being swooped up for multi-family with ground floor retail spaces so I am certainly not complaining.

Even then I was hit by a car on Tuesday crossing in a crosswalk with the crossing light on. I went over the hood on to the ground and the driver left after he saw me get up on my own power. That was Oak Lawn a thoroughfare connected to the freeways with very limited lights to slow traffic down. WOW...

They did what I expected security lighting. It's the please don't sleep or do drugs here alley lighting scheme. The worst case would have been them blocking it off entirely with a security gate and using the area as storage or daytime use only.
