So basically they want to change the terminal layout to the same as every other airport that constantly has no room to build expansions of terminals. Mind you DFW was built with space from the beginning but the "finger" design does have many pitfalls.

Yeah, as usual, the owners get all the approvals ready for a major reinvestment and put it up for sale so the next owner can build the garage. Same was done with Fountain Place and other properties in Downtown. You get all the city approvals in place then the new owner has a chance to rethink plans....

TXDOT I am sure was against any road diet because they also have fought city hall on the Live Oak exit removal. When city hall first started talking about removing the Live Oak exit TXDOT was a big proponent and then overnight they changed their support.

Yeah, the utility work related to this project has been tearing up the side streets all around this project so it's very noticeable that it's having an impact on surrounding properties. Plus they have been doing some major work to the power station nearby.

Yeah, I think the floor plates are quite complicated so pouring each floor is a time taking process. Its easier to throw up a garage and a square podium tower on top like Amli Fountain Place. When you throw in a more varied floor plate shape the molds and pouring can take longer.

The same treatment has been done to parts of the exterior of the Hall of State in Fair Park and it looks a hell of a lot better as well. I wonder how long it will take to look somewhat dirty/aged.
